The Hot Club of Cambridge was formed in 2003 and have since played at a range of events and venues around Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. The Hot Club are regularly seen playing in Cambridge City where they attract large crowds and bring smiles to faces of all who hear them. The music is up-beat and uplifting and the rhythms are infectious. The Hot Club is a perfect band for weddings and functions.

Some of the band regularly play at the Gypsy Jazz Club at the Black Cat Club, Sheep Street, Northampton. This Jazz Club has had distinguished guests such as John Jorgenson, The Robin Nolan Trio, John Wheatcroft, Gary Potter and John Etheridge. The guests are usually backed by members of the Hot Club of Cambridge Chris Marriott, Will Ballard and Nye Parsons with Saskia Tomkins on violin. The Club meets on the last Thursday of every month at the Black Cat. All are welcome and admission is free.

The band consists of Iain Mann : violin/vocals, Colin Borrill : lead guitar, Nye Parsons : double bass, Chris Marriott : rhythm guitar and Will Ballard : rhythm guitar. The band is available for gigs.

Mission

The Hot Club of Cambridge are a group of musicians dedicated to providing authentic interpretations of gypsy jazz in the style of The Hot Club of France founder members Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
